New Jersey Sets x Outkast x Mundial Mag — Honoring 25 Years of Stankonia

When we got the call that there was a project for Mundial Mag x OUTKAST the hip hop and sports jersey nerd in us geeked out. To hear that this was for the Outkast’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction and the 25th anniversary of their legendary album, Stankonia, we knew this wasn’t just a design job. It was a chance to pay tribute to a sound, a spirit, and a movement that defined our music and identity. 

The Production Story

Every stitch of the Mundial Mag x Outkast jersey was intentional. The piece draws on Stankonia’s iconic black-and-white flag aesthetic — a symbol of southern pride, rebellion, and creative freedom. Our production team focused on achieving that balance between nostalgia and innovation:

• Custom sublimation mesh with vintage handfeel, built for the stage and the streets.

• High-density embroidery for the Outkast logo — bold yet timeless.

• Panel blocking inspired by classic cuts, with a nod to early-2000s athletic wear.

• Limited-run tagging featuring both the Mundial Mag and OUTKAST insignias — marking it as a collector’s piece.

It’s more than merch — it’s a wearable artifact celebrating two artists who blurred the lines between hip-hop, funk, and futurism long before it was a trend.

A Full-Circle Moment

This collaboration marks the second time we’ve had the honor of working on an Outkast project, and it feels like a full-circle moment. From crafting the details that represent their legacy to seeing the finished piece showcased alongside their induction — it’s a reminder of why we do what we do.
